Between games, discover all The Palm Beaches have to offer

An afternoon at a Nationals Spring Training game in The Palm Beaches is an afternoon in tropical paradise. Not only are you watching the Nationals tune up for the season, you’re doing it in sunny, 70-degree weather. After the game, there’s a whole lot more to see and do just minutes from FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. Here are eight things that should be on every Nationals fan’s to-do list.

Find your spot on the area’s 47 miles of golden beaches.

Während Sie in Südflorida für Spring Training sind, können Sie auch die Vorteile der goldenen Sandstrände nutzen, die viele als die schönsten an der Ostküste betrachten. The water here is remarkably clear and blue, with the warm Gulf Stream making its closest pass to land in The Palm Beaches. Take your pick from wide, quiet beaches or busy inlets where beach lovers of all ages hang out. No matter where you are in The Palm Beaches, you’re just minutes from a world-class beach.

Brunching with the best of them.

No one has perfected the power brunch quite like D.C.ers, but The Palm Beaches host a variety of experiences that rival some of the best in the country. In fact, legend has it that the Bloody Mary was first concocted at Ta-boo on Worth Avenue – and the iconic restaurant is still open today. Depending on what you’re looking for, America’s First Resort Destination™ has an indulge-worthy brunch menu ready for you to savor. For an opulent brunch, look no further than The Circle at The Breakers. If pulsing beats from a DJ help you get into your brunching groove, reserve a table at Salt7 in Delray Beach. Located in the heart of West Palm Beach, La Playa at the Hilton West Palm Beach offers a leisurely poolside brunch following a yoga session on the lawn. At the International Polo Club, don’t forget to wear your crisp whites and bright tropical garb for fieldside Champagne Brunch.

Canoe a meandering sub-tropical river.

Find a serene moment away from the ballpark just a half-hour north at beautiful Riverbend Park in Jupiter.  This park is a step back in time to Old Florida, with nearly 10 miles of biking and hiking trails through lush cypress and ferns, seven miles of equestrian trails, and access to the Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River. Rent a canoe and paddle one of the great natural rivers in South Florida.

Sample the nightlife in downtown West Palm Beach.

Just as locals in Washington, D.C., flock to 14th Street to enjoy the fun nightlife, here you can head down to Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach. It's a cozy couple of blocks of great restaurants, watering holes and music venues ready to fill the night with fun.  A few blocks west you’ll find Rosemary Square, an open-air shopping and entertainment complex offering a wide range of restaurants and bars. And best of all, both of these destinations are a 15-minute drive from the ballpark.

Tastes of blood orange and crisp grapefruit can be found among the range of local beers, all made and sold locally. Chances are the beer you sample traveled less than 20 miles from brewery to your glass. That’s a taste worth experiencing.

Zeit zum Weinrunterlegen.

Haben Sie schon einmal Wein aus einer Hibiskusblüte ausprobiert? Sons & Daughters Farm & Winery is an organic farm that also produces organic wines, most notably from Hibiscus Sabdariffa. Their organic wines are all grown, fermented and bottled on their 17-acre farm.

Have we got a trail for you. It isn’t in the woods. It isn’t on the beach. Es durch einige der beeindruckendsten und exklusivsten Viertel der Palm Beach Stadt : The Palm Beach Lake Trail. The paved asphalt path winds along the island’s west side, with an inspiring view of the Intracoastal Waterway and Downtown West Palm Beach. You’ll be running along the backyards of some of the oldest and most well-established homes in this tropical paradise. Historical placards also mark key landmarks throughout the trail.

And so much more!
There’s a wealth of fun gatherings and happenings going on during Spring Training in The Palm Beaches, like St. Patrick’s Day in Delray Beach. You can also see a collection of breathtaking yachts and watercraft of all kinds at the Palm Beach International Boat Show.
